Uzbekistan starts to export under national brand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- UzTrade under the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan started to export beans in special labelled packages in order to strengthen position of domestic products and improve recognizability of Made in Uzbekistan brand, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan said.
Bekzod Kholikov, chief specialist of UzTrade, collected cargo from mung beans, beans and chickpeas with the trademark UzTrade was exported to the Trading House of the company in Mazar-i-Sharif (Afghanistan). He added that UzTrade and Afghan companies signed contracts for supply of legumes for over US$2 million.
In the near future it is planned to ship the first batch of mung beans with the volume of 48 tons to the UzFranceTrade, which is new Trade House of UzTrade in France.
Earlier, UzTrade signed contracts for the supply of legumes to the countries of South-East Asia, on the basis of which exports to Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam were made.
UzTrade is a commercial organization established in the system of the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The key task of the company is to expand the country’s export potential by fully supporting entrepreneurs involved in export activities, increasing the competitiveness of products and developing the business environment in general.
UzTrade has developed foreign trade infrastructure. In order to promote the export of domestic products, UzTrade trading houses were opened and continue to open abroad. The geography of exports extends to such countries as Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Turkey, Israel, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, UAE, Japan, China , Vietnam, Chile and others.
