Uzbekistan’s industrial production reach 28.3 trillion soums in Jan-Feb

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January-February 2018 enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products for 28.3 trillion soums the growth rate for the same period last year amounted to 11.7%.
The main factor in the growth of total industrial production was the growth of production in manufacturing by 8.4% (contribution to the growth of total industrial production by 6.5 points), mining and quarrying by 32.4% (contribution to the growth of 4.6 points), electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning by 4.9% (contribution to the growth of 0.4 points) and water supply, sewage and waste disposal by 28.3% (contribution the increase of 0.2 points).
The volume of goods produced by enterprises of the mining and quarrying amounted to 4.8 trillion soums or 16.9% of the total industry.
In the mining industry by types of products compared with the corresponding period last year, there is an increase in production of crushed stone 2.6 times, kaolin 86.5%, gravel by 73.4%, coal by 23.1%, gas condensate by 21.3%, and natural gas by 6.5%, while oil production is reduced by 9.7%.
The volume of manufactured products by manufacturing enterprises in January-February 2018 amounted to 20.8 trillion soums or 73.6% of the total industry.
At the same time, in this industry in comparison with the corresponding period last year increased the production of automobile engines by 51.5%, passenger cars (without specialized) by 42.6%, motor gasoline by 17.2%, cotton fiber by 1.0%, and the production of trucks, buses, Portland cement, diesel, tobacco products and vegetable oil decreased compared to the corresponding period last year.
The volume of production produced by the enterprises of power supply, gas supply, steam and air conditioning amounted to 2.4 trillion soums (8.6% of total industry).
In this industry, in January-February 2018, compared with the corresponding period last year, increased production, transmission and distribution of electricity, steam and air conditioning systems by 4.9% and the production and distribution of gaseous fuels by 5.4%.
The volume of products produced by enterprises of water supply, Sewerage, collection and recycling amounted to 261.2 billion soums (0.9% of the total volume of industry-news).
In comparison with the corresponding period of last year, there is an increase in recyclable materials containing aluminum by 46.7%, recyclable materials containing ferrous metals by 45.7%, services for the removal, transportation and treatment of wastewater 18.7%, services for the treatment and distribution of water through the water supply 17.5%.
As a result of the measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the production of finished products, the production of consumer goods amounted to 8,6 trillion soums and compared to January-February 2017 increased by 5.0%, the share in the total volume of industry was 30.5%.
In comparison with January-February 2017, in the structure of consumer goods in January-February of 2018, a marked increase in the proportion of the production of nonfood products from 55.1% to 60.7%.
In the structure of industrial production of the Republic, the largest share falls on Tashkent region (16.3% of the national volume of industry), Tashkent (15.0%), Navoi (11.8%), Andijan (9.7%), Kashkadarya (7.6%), Ferghana (6.4%) regions.
At the same time, the lowest share falls on Jizzakh (1,5%), Surkhandarya (1,5%), Syrdarya (2,2%), Namangan (2,3%) and Khorezm (2,9%) regions.
It should be noted that implementation of high-tech projects for the production of competitive products has contributed to a significant increase in production in Surkhandarya (+40.5% by January-February 2017), Andijan (+35.3%), Khorezm (+16.6%), Kashkadarya (1+14.7%) and Tashkent (+12.6%) regions.
The analysis of differentiation of industrial production per capita shows the excess of the national average (873.5 thousand soums) in the Navoi region (3507.7 thousand soums), Tashkent (1735.7 thousand soums), Tashkent (1618.9 thousand soums) and Andijan (919.1 thousand soums) regions.
In the context of the regions, high growth rates of the average per capita production of industrial products are observed in Surkhandarya (+37.7% compared to January-February 2017), Andijan (33%), Khorezm (14.7%) and Kashkadarya (+12.5%) regions.
The dynamic development of industrial activity of small businesses has ensured the growth of industrial production to the corresponding period last year at 2.0%, the share of small business in the industry was 28.6%.
In the context of the regions, the largest share of small businesses is observed in Tashkent (69.3% of the total industry), Namangan (59.6%), Samarkand (54.0%) and Jizzakh (51.0%) regions. At the same time, the smallest share of small business is observed in Navoi region (9.8%), Republic of Karakalpakstan (11.9%), Tashkent (16.9%) and Kashkadarya (17%) regions.
Today the country has about 51,000 industrial enterprises, of which Tashkent has 12324 enterprises 5575 – Ferghana, 5360 – Tashkent, 4950 – Andijan, 3953 – Namangan, 3842 – Samarkand, 2373-Bukhara, 2206-Khorezm, 2152-Kashkadarya, 1906 - Jizzakh, 1754 - Surkhandarya, 1579 - on Navoi, 1146 – on Syrdarya region and 15 enterprises on the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
During January-February 2018, 2,100 industrial enterprises were again established in the Republic, of which about 70% falls on Tashkent, Ferghana, Tashkent, Andijan, Namangan and Samarkand regions.
