Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- M&TVA awarding ceremony to be held in late December The award ceremony of one of Uzbekistan’s most prestigious award - M&TVA, which acknowledges last achievements in domestic music, TV and video arts industry, is to take place on 25 December 2008 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The award established by the Fund Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan in association with the Guild of Authors and Performers and TVM channel.

Nomination in music, TV and video arts M&ТVA (Uzbek: “Musiqa va Tele- Video Asarlari” nominaciyasi taqdimoti) is awarded since 2006. Laureates are determined on the basis of public voting and selection of the honorary jury consisting of prominent persons of culture and arts of Uzbekistan.

This year award includes 14 nominations, among them are: “The Best Film of the Year”, “The Best Actor of the Year”, “The Best Actress of the Year”, “The Best Male Singer of the Year”, “The Best Female Singer of the Year”, “The Best Clip of the Year”, “The Best Composer of the Year”, “The Best Soundtrack of the Year”, “The Best Film Director the Year”, “The Best TV Project of the Year”, “The Best RJ of the Year”, “The Best Show of the Year”, “The Best Design of TV Project”, “Honorary Prize for the Contribution to the Development of National Culture and Arts”.

Five persons are nominated for each prize. Voting process is organized through sms-portal as well as at www.mtvaward.uz special web-page.

During the solemn award ceremony all winners are awarded statues, diploma and monetary prizes from the special fund of the M&ТVA.

This year in the frame of M&TVA special Style awards nomination will be presented from the Style.uz Design and Fashion Week. Uzbek Fashion Week this year that tied together fashion and arts projects in different areas of art, earned its status of ART-WEEK and drew a wide response among fashion and general public of many countries in the world.

The main goal of the award is to reveal, support and encourage creative potential of Style Awards nominees in popularization of healthy lifestyle, education in sense of style and good taste in young generation. Each of the eight nominations are presented by four nominees, selected among prominent designers and stylists and popular persons in different spheres of public life of Uzbekistan.

Nominations are presented to the best:

• Designer;
• TV star;
• Sportsman;
• Businessman/ business-lady;
• Female and male Singer;
• Model;
• Actor/actress;
• Perfect Style.

The winners of each nomination will get stylish prizes from the best designers of Style.uz Design and Fashion Week.

Applications for voting are published at www.style.uz web-page as well as in the leading newspapers and magazines of Uzbekistan. Most active voters are to be invited to the M&ТVA-2008 Award ceremony. Organizers promise vivid show which will take place in State Academic Grand Theatre named after Alisher Navoi in Tashkent.
