Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Jizzakh Petroleum JV opens a network of petrol stations, which will sell imported gasoline, the press service of Uzbekneftegaz said.
Uzbekneftegaz is one of the founders of Jizzakh Petroleum. The network of petrol stations will specialize in sales at free commercial prices of imported gasoline of Ai-92, Ai-93, Ai-95 and Ai-98 brands, diesel fuel (corresponding to European quality and standards).
The venture will sell AI-92, AI-93, AI-95, AI-98, and diesel fuel via its petrol stations, direct sales contracts and sale through exchange on free market prices.
Uzbekneftegaz said that imported gasoline will fully comply with world quality standards.
The statement said that the petrol stations will start to sell imported unleaded motor gasoline of AI-98 brand, unleaded petrol of AI-95 brand and diesel fuel of EURO 3 ecological class.
The company said that this step is directed at further improving providing high quality oil products and develop oil and gas sector of Uzbekistan.
Jizzakh Petroleum is currently implementing a project on construction of an oil refinery in Jizzakh region. The joint venture will receive raw materials through oil pipeline from Russia and Kazakhstan. The founders of the joint venture are Uzbekneftegaz JSC (60% share in the joint venture) and Gas Project Development Central Asia (a subsidiary of Gazprom International, 40%). The general contractor will be Enter Engineering.
Jizzakh Petroleum will annually process up to 5 million tonnes of oil and produce 3.7 million tonnes of motor fuel corresponding to the Euro-5 standard, more than 700,000 tonnes of aviation kerosene, as well as liquefied gas, fuel oil, bitumen and other products.
