Uzbekistan plans to increase exports’ volume to US$30bn by 2022

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to increase the volume of exports to US$30 billion by 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade Sahib Saifnazarov said during the briefing in Tashkent on 27 December 2017.
According to him, this is stipulated by the Concept for Development of export activities of the Republic for 2018-2022. The exports of Uzbekistan will grow by 2.5 times by 2022 compared to 2017.
Sahib Saifnazarov said that Uzbekistan’s exports will grow by 15% in 2017. At the same time, the surplus in foreign trade is projected at US$854 million.
He underlined that Uzbekistan signed solid export contracts worth US$11 billion in 2017 during the meetings and negotiations with leaders and representatives of over 60 states and international organizations. He added that Uzbekistan began deliveries of products under these contracts.
