President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry “India-CIS” visits Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry “India-CIS” Sandip Chandra held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed current state and prospects of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries.
The parties stressed importance of timely fulfillment of the agreements, reached during the visit of the governmental delegation of Uzbekistan to India. It should be reminded that the delegation of Uzbekistan visited India on 21-23 August 2017.
Uzbekistan and India plan to hold a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation in Tashkent by the end of 2017. The parties noted importance of careful elaboration of substantive part of the forthcoming meeting of the commission.
The sides identified a number of promising areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, including increasing supplies of Uzbek fruit and vegetable products and wine products to India.
The parties discussed creation of high-tech medical centers, enterprises for deep processing of silk, creation of high-yield intensive gardens and development of hotel business in Uzbekistan by attracting Indian investments and best practices.
