“Bukhara-Misken” railway built in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Temir Yollari completed the first stage of the project on construction of a railway line from Bukhara to Misken (Karakalpakstan).
The builders laid the last tens of meters of steel tracks and made the docking of the two sections of the railway. The length of the railway line "Bukhara-Misken" is 335 km.
During the laying of the line, 121 artificial structures, 12 bridges and 6 overpasses, 5 stations and 5 crossings were built.
A locomotive passed through the new line. Now, on this route, the movement of the working train and freight trains will be launched.
Uzbekistan Temir Yollari plans to implement the second phase of the project. The project envisages electrification of the rail lines and construction of auxiliary facilities. As a result, the company will be able to launch the movement of high-speed Talgo AVE 250 (Afrosiyob) trains along this line.
