Seven Uzbek citizens die in fire in Russia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow confirmed the death of 7 citizens of Uzbekistan as a result of a fire in Kolpino city (part of St. Petersburg).
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the victims were natives of Khorezm region of Uzbekistan.
Law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation are conducting forensic medical examinations, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
Employees of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation maintain regular contacts with the relevant structures of St. Petersburg and Kolpino city.
Uzbek Foreign Ministry said that information about the dead Uzbek citizens was transferred to the subdivisions of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan and Khorezm regional hokimiyat to inform relatives.
