IUT and Inha University in South Korea to expand cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) and Inha University in the Republic of Korea reached agreement to expand cooperation, including in training faculty members and strengthening material-technical base of IUT.
These agreements were reached during negotiations of the rector of IUT Sarvar Babakhodjaev with top-management of Inha University in the Republic of Korea.
IUT rector Sarvar Babakhodjaev paid a visit to Incheon and held negotiations with the President of Inha University Soonja Choe, Vice-President of the university Inkyo Cheong and dean of the University Young-Mee Ahn.
During negotiations, the sides discussed issues of further developing IUT and expanding cooperation between two universities.
In particular, the sides will discuss issues of opening of new educational directions from 2018-2019 academic year.
Administration of two universities discussed issues of selection of highly skilled faculty members to IUT for new 2018-2019 academic year.
The sides paid special attention to training of local faculty members. The sides agreed that Inha University in the Republic of Korea will provide opportunity to two teachers from Uzbekistan to undergo training on PhD programme within the faculty fostering programme starting from 2018-2019 academic year.
IUT started to implement the faculty fostering programme in 2017. Within the programme, teacher assistant of IUT Khusanbek Gafurov is studying at prestigious Sungkyunkwan University in the Republic of Korea.
Representatives of two universities reached agreement to strengthen material and technical base of IUT via increasing number of books and opening access to information online resources of Inha University in the Republic of Korea, as well as purchase of Arduino kits and other tools for ICT and physics labs.
