Architecture symposium to be held in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Goethe Institute and Tashkent Architectural Construction Institute will hold Architecture Symposium in Tashkent on 3 June within the framework of the exhibition “The Post-Oil City. History of the city of the future”.
The symposium is devoted to the sustainable planning of a modern city and designing future city. Uzbek architects and town planners will discuss this issue with their German counterparts from the point of view of urban development in Uzbekistan.
The participants will discuss sustainable urban development, intra-urban (local) transport and mobility, as well as urban planning and development will be discussed. The event will be held for architects, urbanists, city planners and all the general public interested in architecture.
Guests of the symposium from Germany in Tashkent will be Dr. Tilo Hilpert Professor, Ph.D., urban architect, sociologist and journalist, author of numerous publications on architecture and town planning in the 20th century, and Jens Jordan, coordinator of the research and retraining project "Topography of the monuments of Tashkent".
