Prosecutors of Uzbekistan and Belarus sign agreement on cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan and Prosecutor General’s Office of Belarus signed an agreement on cooperation.
The document was signed during the working visit of the delegation of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Belarus headed by the Prosecutor General Alexander Konyuk to Uzbekistan.
During the visit, the delegation of Belarus held negotiations at the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan.
The parties discussed issues of cooperation between the prosecutors of both countries in the criminal-legal sphere. Following the talks, the parties signed an agreement on cooperation.
Within the documents, prosecutors of Uzbekistan and Belarus will cooperate in ensuring human rights and freedoms, fighting crime, including terrorism, corruption, illegal turnover of drugs and weapons, illegal migrations, etc. The sides will exchange experience and normative acts.
Uzbekistan and Belarus will cooperate in carrying out pre-investigation checks, consideration of applications of citizens and legal entities. The parties agreed to exchange information with a view to preventing, detecting and uncovering crimes.
The delegation of Belarus visited the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan. The Belarusian side got acquainted with the ongoing reforms in the country, including in the judicial and legal sphere.
