Uzbekistan, Germany hold political consultations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Germany held the 13th round of political consultations of the ministries of foreign affairs in Tashkent.
According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the delegation of German Foreign Ministry led by the Special Representative on Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia Andreas Peschke participated in the consultations.
The parties conducted a thorough review of issues on the bilateral agenda in the political, trade-economic, scientific-educational, cultural-humanitarian and other fields.
It was noted that both countries attach great importance to the strengthening and further development of multifaceted cooperation and are interested in continuing a regular dialogue on key global and regional issues by intensifying contacts at various levels.
During the exchange of views, the sides stressed that the practical aspects of the implementation of the Action Strategy on the five priority directions of development of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 opens new prospects for comprehensive cooperation, including in the investment sector through the creation of joint production projects involving advanced German technologies .
At the meeting, the sides called to strengthen contacts between scientific institutions and educational institutions, cultural and art figures, public organizations of Uzbekistan and Germany.
Representatives of foreign affairs bodies also examined current international and regional issues.
