Uzbek delegation pays visit to Germany and Austria

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Uzbekistan is paying a visit to Germany and Austria to study advanced experience on ensuring openness of judicial system and access to information on activities of the courts.
Study tour is organized by the ‘Rule of Law Partnership in Uzbekistan’ joint project of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The delegation includes representatives of the Institute for Monitoring Current Legislation, the Supreme Court, the Center for the Further Training of Lawyers, the Tashkent State Law University and other relevant government departments, as well as UNDP specialists.
The visit will take place from 8 to 18 May 2017. During the visit, the Uzbek delegation will hold meetings with representatives of the Supreme Regional Court and the German Judges Association in Frankfurt am Main, the German Judicial Academy in Trier, the Federal Court in Karlsruhe, the Supreme Administrative Court in Bavaria, and the Federal Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Austria , The High Court in Vienna.
Within the visit, it is expected that proposals and recommendations will be developed to introduce new mechanisms to strengthen the capacity and efficiency of the courts, ensure transparency and efficiency of the judicial system, further expand and improve the national electronic information system E-SUD.
