Uzbekistan creates 39,800 jobs in 1Q

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan created over 39,800 jobs in January-March 2017, the expanded session of the Board of the Ministry of Labour of Uzbekistan said.
According to the Uzbek Labour Ministry, 55,800 people received employment due to development of personal subsidiary, dekhkan farms and family entrepreneurship.
About 2,000 unemployed citizens received training and professions, which are in demand on the labor market. Another 1,200 citizens were attracted to paid public works.
More than 11,400 citizens received directions to jobs during the job fairs. At the same time, about 30,000 participants received consultations on labor and employment.
In the reporting period, over 13,800 socially vulnerable layers of population received works.
