Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Rostselmash (Russia) and Uzagrotekhsanoatholding (Uzbek Agriculture Technical Industry Holding) signed an agreement on long-term and mutual cooperation.
Within the document, the sides agreed to create joint production capacities on the base of Chirchiq Plant on Agriculture Equipment. The Russian side will invest several hundreds of millions of rubles.
The plant will produce several hundreds of agriculture equipment a year, including harvesting combines and self-propelled mowers. Agricultural equipment will be supplied to the Uzbek market and re-exported to other countries.
The sides also plan to deepen localization of produced equipment from 5% to 50%.
So far, Rostselmash and Chirchik plant have already signed a commercial contract, which outlines certain aspects of cooperation.
It is planned that the first batch of equipment with a low level of localization will be sent to the Uzbek plant in the coming weeks.
