Uzbek FM holds meeting with new Australian Ambassador

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 March 2017, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia with residence in Moscow Peter Martin Tesch.
The Ambassador handed his credentials addressed to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
During the conversation, the sides discussed the state and priority directions of development of the Uzbek-Australian relations and issues of cooperation within the UN and other international structures.
The sides confirmed their mutual interest in continuing practice of regular political consultations between the Foreign Ministries, which allow outline new guidelines for the further development of cooperation in various spheres in order to use existing potential more fully.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to the prospects of expansion of trade-economic and investment relations, prospects of joint implementation of mutually beneficial projects.
