Uzbek FM receives new Ambassador of South Africa

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- South Africa appointed new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the country to Uzbekistan.
On 1 March 2017, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Ambassador of South Africa with residence in Ankara Pule Isaac Malefane, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Mnistry said.
The Ambassador handed his credentials addressed to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Minister.
During the meeting the sides discussed the issues of the bilateral agenda.
The parties confirmed their interest in further enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Africa, above all in trade and economic, investment spheres.
In this context, the sides expressed the confidence that forthcoming negotiations of the Ambassador at Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade, Ministry of Economy, National Holding Company “Uzbekneftegaz”, State Committee on Development of Tourism, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and in others structures will allow to find the touchpoint and reach for the implementation of joint industrial projects.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on some international and regional issues.
