Uzbekistan expects to export products for US$10.8bn in 2017 – Mirziyoyev

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to export products for US$10.8 billion in 2017, the President of Uzbekistan said at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan should ensure exports of products for US$10.8 billion, the Uzbek leader said. He noted that the country should solve some urgent issues.
He said that action programmes on each exporters should be developed in 15 days.
Mirziyoyev said that the agreements on delivery of products for US$7.7 billion, signed within international industrial fairs and exhibitions, should be fully realized.
He said that work on searching new markets in Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Belarus, as well as other states should be continued. He added that order on establishing cooperation with Bulgaria was fruitless.
Uzbek leader said that diplomatic missions in foreign states should join to this work. He called Deputy Chairperson of Senate Sadyk Safaev and Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov to set control over this.
He noted that exports of small businesses via Uztadbirkorexport and Uzsanoatexport, as well as Fund under National Bank of Uzbekistan should be improved. It is necessary to ensure exports at the volume of at least US$1.5 billion.
Mirziyoyev ordered to Deputy Prime Minister Zoyir Mirzaev to find out reasons behind failure to supply fruits and vegetables for US$650 million in 15 days and submit concrete proposals.
