Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan increased the rates of excise tax for alcohol products, alcohol and beer, produced in the country, from 1 January 2017.
New rates of excise tax were set in line with the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan “On forecast of main macroeconomic figures and parameters of State Budget of Uzbekistan for 2017”.
According to the document, from 1 January 2017 the excise tax for ethyl alcohol makes up 6,27 soums per decilitre (+25%) and for natural wines – 6,358 soums for 1 decilitre of ready product (+5%).
The excise tax for other wines set at 10,000 soums per decilitre (+20%), cognac - -58,265 soums (+26.9%), vodka and other alcohol products – 54,057 soums (+25) and beer – 6,416 soums (+25%).
The excise tax for cognac with the 40% alcohol set at 96,006 soms per deciliter and vodka and alcohol with 40% alcohol – 89,071 soums per deciliter.
