Latvian NGO starts work in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan registered office of the Latvian non-governmental organization Cleantech Latvia.
The NGO was created in 2006 with headquarters in Riga to develop and introduce ecologic clean technologies and renewable sources of energy to production process.
Latvian Association of Biotechnologies is the founder of the NGO.
The NGO is financed by the European Fund of Regional Development and Latvian Agency of Investment and Development.
Cleantech Latvia is planning to develop cooperation between organizations of Uzbekistan and the EU in the field of environment, introduction of advanced green technologies in economy and agriculture in Uzbekistan.
Other directions of the activities of the NGO is organization of academic and professional exchange in the sphere of environment protection, holding expertise and preparing feasibility studies of ecologic projects.
Separate attention will be paid to realization of projects on modernization and reconstruction of infrastructure projects in the sphere.
Cleantech Latvia started to work on joint projects with the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management and State Nature Committee in such actual directions as water management, improving energy use, introduction of renewable and alternative energy.
