Uzbekistan to observe Eid al Adha on 12 September

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- First day of Eid al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice) was announced as day-off in Uzbekistan and will be marked widely as holiday in the country. The first day of Eid al-Adha falls to 12 September 2016.
Acting President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev signed a resolution “On celebrating Kurban-hait (Eid al-Adha)” on 9 September 2016.
The resolution said taking into consideration the proposal of the Muslims’ Board of Uzbekistan, the first day of Eid al-Adha, 12 September 2016, is announced as day-off and will be marked as a holiday in Uzbekistan.
