Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Nobuaki Ito has been appointed as new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan.
On 7 September 2016, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador.
Ambassador presented copies of his credentials, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
Nobuaki Ito on behalf of the Japanese government expressed to the Government and the people of Uzbekistan deep condolences in connection with the death of the First President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.
The Minister thanked the Ambassador for his sympathy and support as well as for the participation of the delegation of the Japanese Government in the mourning ceremonies in Tashkent and Samarkand.
During the meeting the practical aspects of the further development of Uzbek-Japanese cooperation were also discussed.
