Uzbekistan and Russian discuss trade-economic relations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Russian held the seventeenth session of the intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation.
The session was held in Moscow on 24-25 March 2016. The delegation of Uzbekistan headed by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Rustam Asimov participated in the meeting.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak headed the Russian delegation, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan said.
The delegations discussed issues of implementation of agreements reached during the highest level visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan in December 2014.
They also considered current state and prospects of trade and economic cooperation, including proposals to further increase the volume of bilateral trade, cooperation in the sphere of transport and transit, adoption of coherent policies in water-energy sphere in the region of Central Asia, etc.
The parties agreed to hold the next eighteenth meeting of the Commission in 2017 in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
