Namangan region posts 8.7% GRP growth in 2015

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The gross regional product of Namangan region grew by 8.7% in 2015.
Production of industrial goods rose by 14% in 2015, agriculture output- by 5.9%, volume of investments - 5.9%, construction works - 11.1%, retail trade - by 12.9% and all services - 13.2%.
During the reporting period more than 1,650 new small businesses were established in the region and their total number reached 15,731. Share of small businesses in the gross regional product exceeded 80.2% and in the industry - 61.9%. About 70 enterprises exported goods and services for US$127.8 million.
Small businesses and private entrepreneurs, commercial banks issued loans to more than 504 billion soums. About 88 billion soums were directed to construction and installation works in the region.
In the reporting period, more than 75,000 new jobs was created. More than 39,600 people were ensured permanent jobs, these are college graduates.
Over 234 billion soums were directed to implementation of the measures planned under the State programme “Year of attention and care for the older generation”.
