Azerbaijan, Georgia and Uzbekistan discuss development of railway sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Heads of railway companies of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Uzbekistan held trilateral meeting in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, the participants discussed issues of developing railway sector, increasing cargo transportation through these countries, cooperation within TRACECA, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project, as well as developing other international transport corridors
Heads of Azerbaijani and Georgian railways said they support construction of Angren-Pap railway, which is a part of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan international transport corridor. It will provide access of cargos to Black Sea through Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The sides reached an agreement to consider opening of representations of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Georgia in these countries.
The protocol of the meeting was signed at the end of the trilateral meeting.
