CEC forms 44 polling stations for presidential elections abroad

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan formed 44 polling stations for presidential elections in foreign states.
The corresponding decision was adopted at the session of the CEC. The session considered issue on formation of polling stations for presidential elections in foreign states and accreditation of journalists.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan made proposal on formation of the polling stations in foreign states and the CEC supported proposal and created 44 polling stations in foreign states. The stations will be attached to the 14th Tashkent city electoral district.
The CEC also discussed formation of working group on inspection of signature sheets for the support of candidates to the post of the President of Uzbekistan, which will be provided by political parties. The group will adopt decision on validity of submitted signature sheets by the party in line with the legislation of Uzbekistan.
The CEC also discussed other issues related to jurisdiction of the commission.
