Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (PDPU) accused other parties in violations of principles of law and justice during elections to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, the chairperson of the Central Council of the PDPU Hotamjon Ketmonov said.

Ketmonov said that the party won 21 seats in the Legislative Chamber in line with the preliminary results of the elections, announced by the Central Election Commission. He added that significant results were achieved in some local Councils of People’s Deputies.

The politician said that the PDPU carried out agitation work in line with the legislation. But he added that the party complied with election legislation, but some parties violated principles of law and justice. He said that UzLiDeP violated equality during agitation events.

Hotamjon Ketmonov underlined that the PDPU could not fully use its opportunities to inform the people on its programme and the party can use advantage on number of its members, supporters and primary party elections.

He said that the party members will participate in the second round of elections on 4 January 2015. The parties should seriously prepare and use all opportunities to improve their results in the re-elections, he added.
