LUKOIL launches booster compressor station in Khauzak-Shady field

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- LUKOIL Uzbekistan has successfully put into operation a booster compressor station (BCS) at Khauzak-Shady gas field in Bukhara region of Uzbekistan.
According to the Russian company, the cost of the project is US$120 million. Over 500 people (including staff of contractors) participation in construction and launch of the station along with about 50 units of equipment.
The station will allow additionally mine about 1.5 million cubic meters of gas a day, which allow to increase gas production at the field by 20%, taking into account reconstruction of preliminary gas preparation facility.
The booster station uses cutting-edge separators and centrifugal compressors, as well as high-voltage variable frequency drives increased efficiency.
The station is a high-technological complex and currently it is only such facility in gas industry of Uzbekistan.
Currently, LUKOIL implement three product-sharing agreements in Uzbekistan – Kandym-Khauzak-Shady-Kungrad, Southern-Western Gissar and exploration of the Uzbek part of Aral. So far, LUKOIL produced over 25 billion cubic meters of gas in Uzbekistan.
