Czech company to reconstruct treatment facilities of Ferghana Refinery

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Czech company Va Tech WABAG S.r.o will reconstruct treatment facilities of Ferghana Refinery in 2015.
Gazeta.uz reported quoting data of Uznefteproduct that the Czech company won a tender, which was announced in autumn 2013.
In line with the tender conditions, the winner should carry out engineering and supply equipment for treatment facility with the capacity of 16 million cubic meters a year. The contract cost is US$16 million.
Implementation of the project should help to keep content of oil in sewage at no more than 1 milligram per liter. The project will be implemented within a year.
Ferghana Refinery was commissioned in 1959 and currently it produces about 60 types of oil products. The designed processing capacity of the plant is about 5.5 million tonnes of oil a year. The plant is planning to modernize treating facilities. The project cost is US$14.4 million.
Total capacity of three refineries of Uzbekistan – Bukhara Refinery, Ferghana Refinery and Altyarik Refinery – makes up 11.12 million tonnes.
In the second half of 2015, it is planned to launch modernization of Ferghana Refinery for US$200 million, which will allow it to produce oil products, which meets requirements of Euro 3 and higher.
