Representatives of IPA and KOICA hold talks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Intellectual Property Agency of Uzbekistan (IPA) hosted a meeting with director of Tashkent office of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Lee Keng-Sang, specialists and experts of Korean company Siriussoft on 18-19 February 2014.
Siriussoft is a leading supplier of software in the sphere of intellectual property.
The meeting is aimed at familiarizing activities of the agency, studying current state of automated technologies of the agency and possible support of KOICA, the press service of IPA said.
At the meeting, information on internal information portal and database of the agency, creation of online system of applications, planned tasks and functions in information technologies of the agencies were presented.
The sides also considered issues of cooperation between South Korea and Uzbekistan in information technologies. During the event, the sides exchanged opinion on electronic base and developing information technologies.
At the end of the meeting, the sides reached agreement to cooperate and the Korean side expressed readiness to assist in developing external information portal and introduction of distance education at the educational center of the agency.
