Women in Tashkent examined for breast cancer

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- “In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association continues campaign on free diagnosis of women for breast cancer and informing them about work carried out for revealing breast cancer in early stages.
Free diagnosis for breast cancer is taking place at MDS-Service on 7-12 and SalusVita medical rehabilitation complex on 7-16 October in Tashkent. The women, who were recorded for diagnosis, will be examined by specialists.
“In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association and Ministry of Healthcare of Uzbekistan are organizers for the campaign.
Within the campaign, breast physicians, gynecologists and ultrasound specialists examine women. Besides, the medical specialists will share their recommendations.
Tatyana Buzieva, participant of the campaign, said that it is great that such campaigns are held in Uzbekistan. She said that she participates in such campaign for the first time on advise of the friend. She noted that people sometimes could not find time to undergo medical examinations and such campaigns remind people not to forget about health.
Irina Makarova, another campaign participant, said she wishes all women not to face this problem. She noted that it is important to reveal problem in early stage. Thanks to the organizers of the event and doctors for their care, she added.
“In the Name of Life” National Breast Cancer Association has been holding such campaigns for several years. In 2012, the association provided consultations to about 9,700 women, including women from Armed Forces. Some 890 women received consultations in 2013.
