Uzbek officials undergo internship in South Korea

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A group of employees of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for privatization, demonopolization and development of competition underwent an internship in the Republic of Korea from 19 May to 4 June 2013 on invitation of the National Agency for Technical Assistance.
At the first stage of the internship, the Uzbek officials familiarized with history of Korea and its culture.
At the second stage, they got acquainted with main aspects of anti-monopoly regulation of economy of South Korea. They studied methods and forms of researching markets and determining dominating companies. The Uzbek officials also learnt to reveal agreed actions by the dominating companies and adoption of measures to abolish such agreements.
The Uzbek delegation also familiarized with work of the Korean commission for fair trade, which carries out anti-monopoly regulation in South Korea. The Uzbek officials also studied measures, conducted by South Korea, to support and assist to development of small businesses.
The Uzbek officials also visited Hyundai Heavy Industries to familiarize with production process of automobiles.
At the end of the courses, the Korean side handed over corresponding certificates to the Uzbek officials.
