Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Proved oil reserves in Uzbekistan estimated at the volume of 0.1 billion tonnes or 0.6 billion barrels, , British Petroleum (BP) said in its Statistical Review of World Energy 2013.
According to the BP’s report, Uzbekistan possesses 1.1 trillion cubic meters of proved natural gas reserves at the end 2012.
According to the report, the volume of proved oil reserves in Uzbekistan and natural gas reserves did not change in 2012 compared to 2011.
BP said that Uzbekistan produced 3.2 million tonnes of oil in 2012 compared to 3.6 million tonnes in 2011. The company said that in average Uzbekistan produced 68,000 barrels of oil per day in 2012 against 77,000 barrels in 2011 (-12%).
Uzbekistan’s oil consumption grew by 2.1% from 3.8 million tonnes in 2011 to 3.9 million tonnes in 2012. Average daily oil consumption made up 81,000 barrels in 2012 compared to 80,000 barrels in 2011 (+2.1%).
British company said that Uzbekistan produced 56.9 billion cubic meters of gas in 2012, which is 0.4% less compared to 2011 (57 billion cubic meters).
Natural gas consumption in Uzbekistan made up 47.9 billion cubic meters in 2012, which is 2.8% less compared to 2011 (49.1 billion cubic meters).
BP said that energy consumption in Uzbekistan fell to 50.5 million tonnes of oil equivalent in 2012 against 51.6 billion tonnes in 2011. At the same time, Uzbekistan consumed natural gas for 43.1 million tonnes of oil equivalent, oil for 3.9 million tonnes, coal – 1.2 million tonnes and hydropower – 2.3 million tonnes.
According to official data, Uzbekistan decreased oil and gas condensate production by 11.6% to 3.165 million tonnes and gas production – by 0.2% to 62.9 billion cubic meters.
