GM Uzbekistan to produce its 2 millionth car

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- GM Uzbekistan, an Uzbek-US joint venture, will soon produce its 2 millionth automobile, newspaper Uzbekistan Today reported.
The newspaper said that after several week GM Uzbekistan plant in Asaka will produce its 2 millionth car.
Currently, GM Uzbekistan produces such cars as Matiz, Spark, Damas, Nexia, Cobalt and Lacetti.
The paper added that the company is continuing to expand its capacities of its plant in Andijan region and outside the region.
GM Uzbekistan produced 217,000 cars in 2010 and 222,000 automobiles in 2012. The plant produces cars in Andijan region and Tashkent city.
GM Uzbekistan produces Malibu and Captiva cars in Tashkent city and other models in Andijan region.
Currently, the plant is working on launch of production capacities in Khorezm region. The plant will produce Damas cars.
