Uzbekistan plans to produce NPK-fertilizers by 2015

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan plans to produce NPK-fertilizers in 2015, local newspaper Birja reported.
Ammofos-Maxam open joint stock company will launch production of the NPK-fertilizers, the report said.
The project cost is US$22.5 million and the enterprise will direct US$4.5 million of own resources to finance the project and attract foreign loans and investments for US$18 million.
The project was included to list of investment projects, implementation of which will be accelerated due to decreasing preparation and construction-assembly work terms.
Ammofos-Maxam plans to launch NPK-fertilizers production after modernization of phosphor production, which will allow to increase its capacities by 42,500 tonnes of ammophos.
According to experts, such fertilizers are highly demanded both in internal and external markets and it will help farmers to cut expenses for fuel.
