London-2012: Denis Istomin to face Roger Federer

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin defeated Gillis Muller from Luxembourg and reached the third round of tennis tournament of Olympic Games in London.

Denis Istomin lost the first set 6/7 (4), but claimed the second 7/6 (3). In the third set, the Uzbek tennis player won third set 7/5.

The match lasted 2 hours and 37 minutes. Denis Istomin recorded 12 aces, while Muller – 16. Istomin won two of five break points, while Muller – one from six. Istomin committed 20 unforced errors and Muller made 20 unforced errors.

In the third round, Denis Istomin will face world number one Roger Federer of Switzerland.
