Uzbek-Russian trade turnover reaches US$6.688bn in 2011

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Trade turnover of Uzbekistan and Russia grew by 8.9% year-on-year in 2011 and reached US$6.688 billion, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The exports of Uzbekistan to Russia made up US$4.405 billion in January-December 2011 against US$4.155 billion in the same period of 2010.
Uzbekistan’s imports from Russian grew from US$1.988 billion in 2010 to US$2.283 billion in 2011, the committee noted.
Russia is still largest trade partner of Uzbekistan as its share in total foreign trade turnover of country makes up 26.2%.
Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan increased by 15% year-on-year in 2011 and reached US$25.537 billion. The committee noted that foreign trade turnover with the CIS countries made up US$11.11 billion, and with other countries – US$14.427 billion.
