Uzbekneftegaz to construct second line of Bukhara refinery
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekneftegaz national holding company will construct the second line of Bukhara refinery with the cost of US$475 million in 2012-2016, RIA Novosti reported quoting PRIME agency.

The company representative said that the company plans to complete feasibility study of the project by the end of 2012 and launch construction works in 2013.

In the first half of 2013, it is planned to announce tender on selection of contractor on construction of technologic part of the second line of the plant and by the end of 2014 start assembly of equipment. Construction of technological part will be conducted within three years.

The project of the second line envisages construction of capacities on production of 960,000 tonnes of petroleum, 706,000 tonnes of diesel fuel and 250,000 tonnes jet kerosene of euro-3 standard a year.

Within the project, it is planned to carry out construction of facility on isomerization of light nafta with the capacity of 300,000 tonnes a year on the base of the existing capacities of the plant.

The preliminary cost of the project is US$475 million and will be financed due to Uzbekneftegaz, foreign loans and investments, as well as loan of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan.

The project implementation will help to increase production of light oil products at the plant up to 95% and launch production of fuel components on euro-3 and higher.

Bukhara refinery has been launched in Ausgut 1997 and it produces fuel (Ai-91, Ai-93 and Ai-95), jet kerosene, and diesel fuel. The capacity of the project is 2.5 million tonnes of gas condensate a year.
