Microcredit organizations had to raise charter capitals to 100,000 euros

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Central Bank of Uzbekistan set new minimal sizes of charter capital for microcredit organizations (MCO) from 1 January 2012.
According to the resolution of the Central Bank “On introduction of changes and amendments to the regulation on order of licensing activities of microcredit organizations”, the minimal size of the charte capital for the MCO is set at 100,000 euros at the soum equivalent.
Earlier, the minimal size of the charter capital for the MCO was 20,000 euros for organizations, registered in Tashkent city, and 10,000 euros for others.
The document said that the registered MCO should raise their charter capitals to 100,000 euroes by 1 January 2013.
