Uzbekneftegaz sums up results of 1H 2011
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekneftegaz national holding company said its subsidiary Uzgeoburneftegaz joint stock company launched preliminary drilling at ten new fields. The company completed construction of 52 wells.

In the result of geological survey works, two new fields (oil and gas condensate field – Sherkent in Bukhara-Khiva and gas condensate – Sagirtau in Gissar region) were opened.

The company added that four wells out of 17 wells, where exploration works completed, were handed over to commercial exploitation. Some 26 wells underwent capital repair works.

Mining enterprises of Uzbekneftegaz, including with foreign investors, fulfilled gas production task with 0.2% surplus or 4.4% less compared to the same period of 2010 made up 95.6%, liquid hydrocarbons (oil and condensate) by 0.9% and 6.8% less compared to the same period of 2010.

The volume of processing of hydrocarbon raw materials at oil processing plants was fulfilled with 3.5% surplus to task or 4.2% less against the same period of the 2011. The tasks on production of petroleum was fulfilled with 7.4% surplus (+1% compared to the same period of 2010), diesel fuel – 0.3% (-6.2%), oils – 26.1% (+3.3%) and aviation kerosene – 2.3% (-8.2%).

Task on production of liquefied gas was fulfilled with 1.6% surplus (-2.6%), polyethylene – 0.4% (-0.7%), brimstone – 5.8% (+19.5%).

Industrial enterprises of oil and gas industry, including the volume of foreign investors within the PSAs, produced goods in current prices for 3.3 trillion soums (+0.3%) and in comparable prices – 0.1%.

The industry produced consumer goods for over 317 billion soums (+9.9% to task), or grew by 9% year-on-year.

The localization programme for 2011 includes 67 projects of Uzbekneftegaz for total sum of 181.84 billion soums.

In the reporting period, some 49 projects were implemented and produced goods for 61.364 billion soums, or task was fulfilled with 1% surplus.

The industry exported chemical, petrogaschemical equipment and bentonitic clay powder. Some 50 new jobs were created.

Some 39 investment projects of Uzbekneftegaz were included to Investment Progreamme for 2011 with total investments of US$20.6 billion.

In January-June 2011, the actual volume of used investments exceeded forecast by 2.5% and foreign direct investments – 30.9%.
