Uzbek, Russian Presidents discuss situation in Kyrgyz Republic

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov held a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Dmitriy Medvedev on Saturday, 12 June 2010.
The press service of Kremlin said that the sides considered situation in Kyrgyz Republic during their talk.
As earlier reported, Uzbekistan Foreign Ministry expressed great anxiety and concern in connection with events, which are taking place in south Kyrgyz Republic in Osh city.
The statement of the ministry said that there are all grounds to say that such actions are organized, managed and provocative. They have far-reaching goal to provoke inter-ethnical conflict, create intolerable conditions for minority nations, living in Kyrgyz Republic.
Uzbek Foreign Ministry expressed assurance that experienced people of Kyrgyzstan and its healthy powers have enough wisdom and life experience for restraining criminality to stabilize situation in the country and ensure peaceful and prosperous future of multinational Kyrgyz Republic.
