Uzbek Interior Ministry discusses measures against A/H1N1

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzbek Interior Ministry has discussed measures to prevent the A/H1N1 virus from spreading to Uzbekistan, the Na Postu newspaper said on 8 August.
Specifically, the newspaper said that a meeting had been held at the Interior Ministry to discuss the situation regarding infectious diseases and preventive measures against them.
The situation regarding infectious diseases, including, A/H1N1, typhoid fever and haemorrhagic fever, is complicated in countries that are Uzbekistan’s neighbours, but "it should be mentioned that these dangerous diseases have not been registered in our republic, and that the epidemiological situation is stable," the newspaper added.
