Uzbek President Islam Karimov visited Namangan region on 2 July to familiarize with social-economic reforms, UzA reported.
Uzbek leader visited local farms and noted at the meeting with farmers that farms are becoming foothold for economic and social, as well as political life of the country.
He said farmers should also work on processing the products, which they manufactured, and help to improve well-being of people.
Uzbek President Islam Karimov visited the Namangan branch of the Scientific-Research Institute of grain and leguminous. He got acquainted with the work of the institute on development of new grain sorts.
He also met local activist and visited military unit within his visit to the region. |
