Pohang Steelers head coach Sergio Farias has hit back at Rivaldo, who claimed that the Korean side had no chance in their AFC Champions League quarter-final against FC Bunyodkor.
Rivaldo expressed supreme confidence in the Uzbek side’s chances of progression, but Farias was not too thrilled with the comments, telling the Korean media, "Rivaldo is 37 years old, it’s time to retire.
“Scolari and Rivaldo are Bunyodkor’s only strong points. It doesn’t mean they are a strong team.
"Our goal is to be number one in Asia and the first task is to reach the semi-final of the AFC Champions League.”
Pohang are in spectacular form in the competition, having demolished Newcastle Jets 6-0 in their last group-stage game. |
