Poland is interested in implementing joint projects in Kashkadarya region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As representatives of Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan, headed by deputy governor Oybek Shagazatov, visited the Republic of Poland to discuss further development of interregional cooperation. This is the second visit of the delegation of this region, whose entrepreneurs actively cooperate with Polish businessmen.
During the visit, meetings were held with the leadership of 14 Polish companies operating in the agricultural sector (animal husbandry, seed potato production, intensive gardening), energy, construction, medical, chemical and other sectors of the economy.
The Uzbek delegation visited a number of Polish enterprises and departments, including the plant for the production of drip irrigation equipment of the Milex company in Dobrików, an enterprise for the production of building materials of the Selena company in Wroclaw, and also medical institutions in Warsaw, in particular, an interventional cardiology clinic and the versatile Medicover hospital.
The Polish partners were provided with detailed information about the economic, financial and investment potential of Uzbekistan, needs, export and investment opportunities of Kashkadarya region.
Heads of such companies as ELQ (power equipment), Selena (building materials), Milex (production of irrigation systems), Bartek (shoe industry), Intermag (production of chemical fertilizers), Sky Bone and Contraktus (cattle and poultry), Dolinski and Arno ( intensive gardening), Irimed (health) welcomed the large-scale reforms and openness policies that have been pursued in Uzbekistan in recent years. They confirmed their readiness to intensify cooperation in a number of joint projects being implemented.
According to the head of the Polish company Bartek, Pavel Bortnitsky, truly historical transformations are taking place in Uzbekistan. Despite numerous challenges, the country without shocks passed the period of formation and strengthening of independence.
As the head of the ELQ business structure, the leadership of Uzbekistan confidently and successfully continues to modernize the economy. There are a number of factors that stimulate businessmen of the two countries to closer and mutually beneficial relations, to determine a plan of specific measures that would contribute to the intensification of such contacts.
Polish businessmen gave a high assessment of the Action Strategy for the five priority areas of development of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, which determines all areas of development of the country
Following the talks, agreements were reached on organizing visits by representatives of Polish companies to Uzbekistan in March-May of this year in order to determine specific parameters and conditions for the implementation of joint projects in Kashkadarya region.
Representatives of Uzbekistan were able to familiarize themselves with their activities, research and production potential, advanced equipment and production technologies, their products and the demand for it in world markets. As a result, agreements were reached on the establishment and development of cooperation.
