Uzbekistan, Germany expand cooperation in the field of public order

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14 January 2019, within the framework of the Uzbek-German Business Forum, Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications Shukhrat Sadikov held a number of meetings and signed agreements with German partners in implementation of investment projects.
During the event, special attention was paid to establishing cooperation with Germany in the area of enhancing road safety in Uzbekistan through the use of modern IT technologies and in enhancing the participation of German partners in introduction of modern means of photo-video recording of violations of traffic rules.
Pursuant to the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Measures for Implementation of an Investment Project in the Field of Road Safety" dated October 30, 2018, the specialists of the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications Development and the ATLAS International group of companies jointly carry out priority tasks.
In order to further develop and strengthen cooperation in the framework of the investment project, the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, Uzstandard and the ATLAS International group of companies signed an agreement on implementation of the investment project “Automated Photo System” on video recording violations of traffic rules in Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of the business forum, the Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications, S. Sadikov, also held meetings with the leaders of SIEMENS AG, DETECON, NOKIA, and GEMALTO AG to establish and strengthen cooperation in the field of ICT and other areas application solutions of German companies.
Given the leading position and vast experience of Germany in introducing modern systems in ensuring the rules of the road, Uzbekistan is interested in developing long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation with German companies.
