Uzbekistan creates 55,000 new enterprises in 2018

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-December 2018, the number of newly created enterprises and organizations in Uzbekistan reached 55,000, which is 14,000 more compared to 2017, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
As a result, the number of existing enterprises and organizations has increased by 38,000 units in the reporting period (13.3%) and reached 323,500 units.
As of 1 January 2019, the number of registered enterprises and organizations was 339,000 units, of which 22.1% fell to share of trade sphere, 17.5% - industry, 9% - construction, 7.7% - agriculture, forestry and fisheries, 6.2% - accommodation and food services, 4.1% - transportation and storage, 2.2% - information and communication, 2% - health and social services, and 29.2% - other spheres of economic activity.
The largest number of registered enterprises and organizations registered in Tashkent city (71318 units), Tashkent (35385 units), Samarkand (26297 units) and Ferghana (29529 units) regions.
The smallest amount falls on Syrdarya (11109 units), Navoi (11281 units) and Khorezm (15765 units) regions.
The number of existing enterprises and organizations, compared with the same period of last year, increased by 38,000 (13.3%), and their total number was 323,500 units.
In terms of economic activity, the total number of operating enterprises and organizations in trade was 21.9%, industry - 17.6%, construction - 9.0%, agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 7.6%, in the area of accommodation and food services - 6.1%, transportation and storage - 4.1%, information and communication - 2.2%, health and social services - 2.1%, other activities account for 29.4%.
The largest number of operating enterprises and organizations are located in Tashkent city (69,236 units), Tashkent (31,030 units), Ferghana (29,128 units), Andijan (27,391 units) and Samarkand (25,066 units) regions . In Syrdarya (10,367 units), Navoi (11,175 units) and Jizzakh (14,226 units) regions, a small number of enterprises and organizations were recorded.
In January-December 2018, 55,011 enterprises and organizations were created, which is 34.1% more than in the same period of 2017.
The largest part of the total number of newly created enterprises and organizations falls on the city of Tashkent (12,714 units), Tashkent (5456 units), Samarkand (4831 units) and Ferghana (4338 units) regions.
In contrast, Syrdarya (1507 units), Navoi (2027 units) and Khorezm (2299 units) regions demonstrated a low level of creation of new enterprises.
The most newly created enterprises and organizations fall to trade (11,719 units), industry (11,279 units), construction (6,370 units), agriculture, forestry and fisheries (5,628 units) sectors.
The smallest number is observed in the field of health care and the provision of social services (1178 units), information and communication (1236 units), as well as in the field of transportation and storage (2115 units).
The number of existing commercial enterprises and organizations as of 1 January 2019 was 265,000 units, of which 72,400 units - private enterprises, 15,500 units - family enterprises, 170,200 units - limited liability companies and 6,900 units - other enterprises and organizations.
