Kiremko plans to work actively with potato producers in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Representatives of the Uzbek Embassy in the Benelux countries held talks with officials of the Dutch company Kiremko, one of the leaders in potato processing in the world.
During the meeting, the Dutch company received information on the work being done in Uzbekistan to attract modern technologies to the agro-industrial sector, modernize production processes, and expand export-oriented products.
The management of the Dutch company expressed its readiness to establish contacts with the Association of Potato Producers of Uzbekistan and to consider the possibility of organizing training trainings on the production and storage of seed potatoes for representatives of the Association.
The parties also discussed the prospects of creating a joint production for the processing of potatoes in Uzbekistan, Dunyo news agency reported.
Regional manager for sales of Kiremko Twan van den Berg said: “We plan to work more actively with potato producers in Uzbekistan in order to implement a project to create a factory for processing potatoes in the republic and establishing a line for the production of French fries and chips” .
