Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An Uzbek-Korean Textile Technopark will begin its work in March 2019. This was announced during a briefing in Tashkent.
Now the construction of the technopark is at the final stage.
The Uzbek-Korean Technopark is a project aimed at introducing innovative ideas in the textile sector through the interaction of scientists and enterprises. The government of the Republic of Korea has allocated US$15 million to finance this project.
Among the main tasks of the technopark is organization of the transfer and implementation of the most modern South Korean innovations at the Uzbek enterprises of light industry. In addition, the task of the technology park will be to conduct joint research in the field of materials science, dyeing and finishing production, design of fabrics and clothing, the development of alternative energy sources.
The construction of the Uzbek-Korean textile technopark is at the final stage. In March 2019, the Uzbek-Korean textile technopark will begin operation.
A group of experts from South Korea told the participants about the activities of the Textile Technopark in Tashkent, its main tasks and functions, its role in the development of the textile industry of Uzbekistan.
As part of the technology park, high-tech office buildings with office premises will be erected, as well as a separate building with a total usable area of over 10 thousand square meters for the organization of experimental production using energy-intensive technologies equipped with solar panels.
In addition, the technopark will be equipped with modern equipment, where companies will be able to produce prototypes of new products. More than 40 researchers, including experts from Korea, will assist in this.
The technopark building is located in Yakkasaray district of Tashkent. In addition to offices, it will house laboratories - chemical, biological, environmental, as well as a production workshop for the production of pilot products.
In order to introduce innovative ideas in the textile sphere through the interaction of scientists and enterprises, more than 100 students, undergraduates from Uzbekistan were trained in Korean institutes and specialized textile technoparks.
Following the briefing, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Association "Uztextilprom" and Technopark "Kyongi Daedzhin" and "Kyongi Knitted Industrial Cooperative" on cooperation in the textile industry was held.
The document is aimed at the development of innovative textiles and training of the industry through mutual cooperation, development between organizations, technology transfer and textile industrialization.
