Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur, together with the Association of Business Women of Uzbekistan (AJU), organized a visit of women entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan (11 people in total) to Malaysia from 5 to 12 October.
Within its framework, the delegation took part in the Beauty Expo international exhibition. The delegation held meetings were held with the leadership of the National Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Malaysia (NAWEM), the Malaysian Foreign Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (ASLI) negotiations with Brand 360. The Uzbek delegation paid visit to the production facilities of Unilavender (production of disposable hygiene products and medical supplies) and MAMEE-Double Decker (production of biscuits, noodles fast food, chips, etc.).
During participation in the exhibition, the sides reached agreement on organization of the visit of the leadership of the South Korean company "Health Today Co." Ltd.” to Uzbekistan to study the possibility of creating a joint venture for production of perfumery products and acquisition of the equipment of Beaubelle Group in the provision of cosmetic services and cosmetic products of “Natural Wellness Pharmaceuticals”, “BORAM C & H Co. Ltd. ”and“ Monarch Aesthetic ”.
At the meeting with the leadership of the National Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Malaysia, possible cooperation directions were discussed and an agreement was reached on organizing a visit of representatives of the Malaysian Association to Uzbekistan in March 2019 to establish partnerships with the Association of Business Women of Uzbekistan and sign an appropriate cooperation agreement between two organizations.
During negotiations with the leadership of MATRADE and HW Lima, Uzbek entrepreneurs were invited to take part in the world’s largest exhibition in the field of halal products - the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS), which will be held on 3-6 April 2019.
At the meeting with the leadership of the Asian Institute of Strategy and Leadership, the Malaysian side proposed to consider the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement with the relevant companies of Uzbekistan interested in establishing trade, economic and investment cooperation with the Malaysian business circles.
Also, the Malaysian side announced its readiness to provide programs in the development of women’s entrepreneurship in Malaysia for possible implementation in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Negotiations were held with the management of the Brand 360 marketing company, during which an agreement was reached to consider the possibility of identifying Malaysian importers, including large retail chains interested in importing Uzbek products, to arrange for export deliveries of fruits and vegetables and textiles from Uzbekistan to Malaysia.
At the negotiations with the management of Unilavender, engaged in the production of disposable hygiene products and medical supplies, the implementation of an investment project to organize the production of disposable hygiene products in Uzbekistan was discussed.
During the meeting with the leadership of MAMEE-Double Decker, the Uzbek entrepreneurs got acquainted with the production process of the enterprise.
Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached on organization of the visit of the company’s management at the end of November 2018 for the implementation of the investment project "Organization of the production of biscuits, instant noodles and chips" in Bukhara, Samarkand or Khorezm regions.
